Katharine Hepburn este
unul din modelele demne de urmat. Mă uit cu mare plăcere de fiecare dată la
filmele ei. Favoritul meu rămâne însă (de departe) The Philadephia Story, care conţine şi unul din citatele mele
preferate din filme: “Nu vreau să fiu adorată. Vreau să fiu iubită.” spune
Tracy Lord (Katharine Hepburn).
De ce vă vorbesc
despre Katharine Hepburn aici? Pentru că aceste negrese sunt făcute după reţeta ei preferată de brownies. Sunt absolut minunate, ca şi ea de altfel.
Trebuie musai să le încercaţi (nu aveţi nevoie de multe ingrediente şi sunt
chiar uşor de făcut)! Contribuţia mea a fost să adaug nişte caramel
sărat între două straturi de aluat (de asemenea, spre deosebire de reţeta
originală, nu am folosit nuci, pentru că nu aveam la momentul respectiv), dar
puteţi sări peste acest pas dacă nu aveţi caramel. Cu toate acestea, caramelul
sărat aduce un plus la textura umedă specifică negreselor şi de asemenea se
combină perfect cu gustul intens de cacao.
BROWNIES CU CARAMEL SĂRAT
- 110 g cacao
- 230 g unt
- 400 g zahăr
- 4 ouă
- 70 g făină
- 1 păstaie de vanilie
- un vârf de sare
- 3-5 linguri caramel
sărat
Topim untul împreună cu cacaoa într-un castron la bain-marie, amestecând cu un tel până se omogenizează.
Ungem cu unt o
tavă de circa 30x20 cm (putem să o şi dublăm cu hârtie de copt).
Coacem prăjitura
în cuptorul încins, la foc potrivit, pentru circa 20 de minute (verificăm şi cu
o scobitoare).
Servim aceste
brownies simple sau cu nişte caramel sărat deasupra.

watch time and time again many of her movies. But my favorite remains (by far)
The Philadelphia Story, which also contains one of my all-time favorite movie
quotes: “I don't want to be worshiped. I want to be loved.” says Tracy Lord
(Katharine Hepburn).
Why am I talking to you about Katharine Hepburn in this
post? Because these brownies are made after her favorite brownies recipe. They are
absolutely brilliant, just as she was. You must definitely try them (they don’t
require many ingredients and it’s quite easy to make them)! My personal note
was adding some salted caramel between two layers of batter (I also didn’t use
nuts, because I was short of them), but you can skip this step if you don’t
have any. However, the salted caramel adds to the moisture of the brownies and
combines very well with the intense cocoa taste.
SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIES
Melt the butter and cocoa in a bowl over simmering water, whisking until blended.
Remove the bowl and stir in the sugar.
Then whisk in the eggs and the seeds from the vanilla bean.
Fold in the flour and salt.
Grease a 30x20 cm pan (you can also line it with parchment paper).
Pour into the pan about half of the batter.
Then pour onto the batter some salted caramel and cover it with the remaining batter.
Bake in the preheated oven, to medium heat, for about 20 minutes (a toothpick inserted in the middle should come out clean).
Let the cake cool completely, then cut it into squares.
Serve them simple, or with some salted caramel on top.
