Prima petrecere de degustare at e. / First at e. sweets tasting party

De multă vreme doream să organizez o mică petrecere pentru care să mă ocup eu de catering (adică sweet catering :) ). Iar într-o zi mi-am zis: de ce să nu fac o petrecere tocmai pentru asta? Şi aşa mi-a venit idea unei petreceri de degustare. Aveam o listă (destul de lungă) de doritori, nu mai trebuia decât să aleg bunătăţile de pregătit – asta a fost o adevărată provocare, pentru că făcusem o ditamai lista (mai lungă chiar decât doritorii) şi nu ştiam ce să tai de pe ea. În fine, am rezolvat şi asta, am ales data şi am trimis invitaţiile – puţine, că locul este mic.

Ultimele zile le-am dedicat preparării reţetelor alese, iar mâine este marea zi. Abia aştept!

Gazdă ne va fi sora mea, căreia îi mulţumesc încă o dată.

Prăjiturile sunt gata aproape toate, aşteaptă să fie devorate, iar eu sunt extenuată. Iar mâine dimineaţă mai am câteva de făcut!

Am să postez reţetele zilele următoare, dar până atunci să vă dezvălui meniul. 

Era să uit, tema primei petreceri de degustare at e. este “Ocolul Pământului (mai exact Europei) prin dulciuri”:

• Bolo de manteiga (prăjitură cu unt) – Portugalia
• Gâteau Breton (prăjitură bretonă) – Franţa
• Bavareză cu ciocolată şi apă de flori de portocal – Germania
• Battenberg cu dulceaţă de trandafiri – Anglia
• Kourabiedes cu apă de trandafiri – Grecia

Uraţi-mi succes mâine! Poate data viitoare veţi fi şi voi printre invitaţi!

UPDATE

Petrecerea a fost un real succes! Micile defecte de execuţie şi prezentare au fost puse mult în umbră de gustul prăjiturilor, deci mă pot declara satisfăcută. Data viitoare va fi şi mai bine!

It’s been a while now since I thought to organize a little party and also prepare the food (actually the sweets:) ). One day I said to myself: why shouldn’t I throw a party just for that? So I thought to organize a sweets tasting party. I had a (quite long) list of possible guests, so all I had to do was to choose the recipes to prepare – this was very difficult, because I had a long list (longer even than the one with guests) and I didn’t know what to remove from it. Well, in the end, I managed to do that too, I picked the date and sent the invitation – just to few people, as the place is quite small.

The last few days I was busy with preparing the sweets and tomorrow is the big day. I’m so excited!

Our host will be my sister – thank you again for receiving us!

I made some of the cakes on my list, they wait to be served, and I’m exhausted. Tomorrow morning I must prepare a few more!

I will post the recipes in a few days, but until then I want to reveal the menu.

Oh, the theme of the first at e. sweets tasting party is “Around the World (actually Europe) with sweets”:

UPDATE

The party was a real success! The small flaws in execution and presentation were overshadowed by the exquisite taste, so I can declare myself satisfied. Next time will be better!
